Howdy, is it possible to mix bantam's and regular sized chickens in the same coop/run?

The two regular sized gal's are about a year and a half old (orpington & americauna). The two new bantam's are only about 2 months old (cochin & wynedotte) will wait until the baby's are a little older but wasn't sure how they would do mixed.

Also their coop is 4 1/2 feet long x 3 feet wide x 6 feet tall, their run is about 5 feet wide x 15 feet long if that helps any.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you

I have one bantam rooster living with 16 full size chickens and a rooster. Not very happy. I would love to rehome him. I was told that they should get along, but my bantam is not happy. If you decide to introduce the bantams, at least wait until they are full grown. Good luck.

mine get along great, but they all started out in the brooders together. Some up to seven weeks apart in age. We have one little banty white leghorn that gets broody and one of my americanas that gets broody thinks the leghorn is her chick!

It is so funny every time we go out to the coop the little leghorn peeks out from the americanas wing!

Very cute indeed. I am currently trying to get my orpington from being broody. I am raising the chickens for eggs. I didn't realise that americauna's would go broody. I hope mine doesn't I don't need two of them that way.

I will wait until the bantam is a little older and then trying to introduce her to the big girls.

Thanks!

I don't personally have any Bantams. I have some friends who have a mixed flock of bantams and standards. They all get along fine.
