Banty hens/pullets, how big of a piece of food can they eat?

Well, I'm going to have my ladies "free-ranging" in my home (yes, IN my home) once I get diapers made up. They're young yet, some are just chicks, and two are almost two months. I'm wondering how big their treats can be. Our son has all kinds of snacks that he plays "parade" with, so I'm wondering if the ladies will help me clean up after him. He gets those teddy bear cookies and fruit loops, those are the biggest food items that he gets to carry around, everything else, he's stuck in the high chair (but will still toss stuff down to feed the cat, and I assume, eventually the pullets too). I've tried feeding pizza crust to the two older chicks, but they only pick a few pieces off and then ignore the rest.

In my 55+ years of raising chickens, I've never seen one choke to death on something that was too big for them to swallow. They are usually smart enough to pick off pieces of appropriate size for their beaks.

Okay so I have standards and not banties, but there's one thing I do know. The tiny little finches that get in my coop (despite all my efforts to keep them out) manage to eat the pellets just fine.
P.S. While treating the vultures aka brahmas this morning, one hen managed to snag the entire clump of grapes and the half slice of bread out of my hands at the same time. I think her sisters managed to get about half the grapes from her, but she got alot down before they could.
