I have a little banty roo that has started crowing and trying to mate with my heavy breed hens. This roo was given to me and I don't want to breed him but really don't want to eat him due to a really funny disposition he has. He really makes me laugh.

Is it possible for him to fertilize eggs in a hen twice his size? When I saw him try it didn't look like he was really getting the job done but with practice who knows.

It can happen, but some never get it.. I remember some little japanese bantams that just couldn't breed the big australorp hens my aunt had.

I have a banty Cochin/silkie mix roo, 6 standard hens, and a bator full of eggs on day 19 that proves "Size doesn't matter"!

If you don't want to breed him, just don't incubate the eggs. Just use those as eating eggs.
