Bardrocks .... Roos ? Hens?

Hi , I'm Paula I have 9 chickens approximately 10 weeks old , 4 are dark ( black with white ) and no comb 4 are grey ( white with black ) they all have red combs and one black rooster . My question ....... Is the rooster a bardrock or another breed and are the others all hens ?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

If you can post a pic, we can have a better look see as for the breed. Hard to tell from your description. However at 10 weeks old, if you have chicks with substantially larger and redder combs than the others, then yes, these will most likely be cockerels.

X2 what TwoCrows said, try posting pictures in the What Breed/Gender forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this with Barred Rocks the males are usually lighter in color and have bigger combs/wattles than the girls by ten weeks, here is a nice thread with a lot of pics on sexing them https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/643481/sexing-barred-rocks the black is probably a different breed.

X3 barred rock males have larger combs and wattles are lighter colored.
