Hello,
I have 13 one week old chicks of various breeds. One of my chicks seems to have a bare belly, no down, can see bare skin. This has happened in just one day. I could tell they were getting a little cramed inwhat I had them in and today when placing in their new larger brooder I discaoverd this. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the chick? Is there any possibility that it might be a Cornish X ?
Today it seems to be better. I am guessing as they were running out of room in the old brooder they were laying more, possibly this one laying in a mess. Thank you, I will continue to monitor. They are now in a new brooder with plenty of space, shavings, and "toys" if you will... they seem happy and everyone is eating, drinking and sleeping well.
