Bare chest...

One of my hens went broody and and before I figured it out she plucked out her chest feathers. Weeks later it doesn't feel like they are growing back...will they?

She'll need a higher protein feed so she can grow the feathers in without taxing her health so much. Maybe 22% protein feed, or some high protein snacks.

Ok..I will do that. I just slipped 5 chicks under her so I hope all goes well and she happily raises some chicks.
