Hello, a couple of my 8 weeks old chicks show bare skin underneath their wings (size of a coin). I haven't noticed pecking going on or I just missed it? But, what else would cause bare skin? By the way, I purchased them as 6 weeks old. Thanks!

As long as there is no irritation or apparent parasites, I would not worry. Chicks are frequently slower about feathering beneath their wings.

Oh, that makes me feel much better :) I didn't see any redness there. Thanks!

Pretty normal at 8 weeks....
....once they go thru the next juvenile molt, at about 12 weeks,
they may grow more feathers under there
