Bare spots

I have a couxple of chickens with bare spots on their butts and sore reddend looking skin there...any thoughts? Michael

i don't know but keep it dry and put Neosporin and maybe put a bandage on it.

I have the same issue; the chickens were confined to their run because of hawks during winter and pecked each other's feathers. I thought it was lice or mites and treated them accordingly but I now think it was just boredom. Now I have to wait for molt for them to regrow. I suggest you watch them on the roost in evening and see if they are pecking each other or themselves. If themselves, suspect lice or mites.
