Barn coop question

I was planning on putting a flat roof on my coop since it will be in the barn. I was wondering if I should do a plywood roof or just have 2x4 "rafters" with hardware cloth on it? And if it gets REALLY cold I could cover it.

I'm just wanting to make sure the coop will have enough ventilation but stay warm enough.

If there are no drafts in your barn you should be ok with a hardware cloth roof. I'd use 2x4's and plywood, then I could store stuff on top of the coop.

If your like me...never enough storage. I'd take advantage of the space and use wood. Good luck!

I would use plywood, I think it just looks better.
