Barn red hen house? Help!

I bought some flat barn red paint for my henhouse. I was just about to paint it..then I'm thinking chickens don't like red do they?
Do you think it would be okay to paint my henhouse barn red?

I don't think they'll mind. Chickens tend to be attracted to red, which is why many waterers for chicks have red bases. They might glance at it or peck once or twice, but once they figure out it's not food, they'll leave it be.

No problem here. Often keep the big door open during summer days. They jump up and down all day long and hang out underneath for shade.

Chickens have been around barns for thousands of years. Sometimes barns are painted red. Red barns and chickens get along fine.

You’re overthinking it as we often do. It’s not a problem. Paint the coop red. Should look good.

Yea, chickens are attracted to anything that looks like food.

Eventually they will eat your coop....

I painted mine "barn red". It's still standing.
