Barn yard mix chick

I have a chick that looks like yours, I hatched him out of a barnyard mix of eggs. Did you find out what breed your chick is? I read you found out he is a roo, what do you think about mine? In the last few day the comb has gotten a little pink, this is him/her at 3 week and he/she is now 4 weeks. I will get a new pic today.

It's too early, but within the next two weeks, if the comb continues to deepen in red color and tiny red wattles appear under the beak? It's a cockerel.

Even though the chick is a barnyard mix, single combed birds generally follow the same pattern. Red combs/wattles at 6 weeks is cockerel characteristic. Pullets don't normally show any signs like this until they are much older.
