Barnevelder first egg

My barnevelder laid an egg yesterday for the first time. The interesting thing is that of all the breeds I have, she was supposed to be laying last at 28 weekend old. She is only about 25 weeks right now. I'm still waiting on the creme legbar and easter egger which were supposed to start laying at 20 weeks, that was several weeks ago. Lol my Barenevelder totally surprised me!
Barnevelder is not squattingfor me but everyone else has been squatting for weeks. Hahaha come on ladies!

Yeah I think when they lay is just as much of an individual trait as it is a breed characteristic. My Easter Egger just started laying last week at 22 weeks. Neither she nor my Ameraucana who started laying at 21 weeks squat for me. But they'll squat for my older dominant Speckled Sussex!
