I bought 8 chicks in May, lost one to Mareks but everyone else is doing great. They are all supposed to be pullets.
The two older ones were sold as Barnevelders and they looked identical when I got them but they are very different from each other now. They are about 16 weeks old. One looks just as I was expecting, the other one is very different, although she is quite pretty.
The others are a little younger, around 13 weeks old. I’m pretty sure the breeds are correct - 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte.
The pictures I have are not the best because the darn things won’t hold still or pose for me
The first, third and fourth pictures show Anna, the one I’m not sure about. The second picture shows Anna (in back) and Hedy, the one that looks more like what I was expecting. Can anyone confirm they are both Barnevelders? And what variety are they?
