We have two roosters, an EE and a RIR.. and then we have RIR hens, EE hens, and BO hens. Somehow, a brood hatched out what looks like a meat bird- EE mix... When he was a chick he was yellow, with BRIGHT yellow feet, and he looked like a meat bird. But with muffs. He did hatch out of a green egg, so he is some sort of EE cross. We have hatched out tons of our chickens and never got a white one. He is seven months old now, and still looks like a muffed meat bird. Fat, has a hard time walking... still PURE white with no feathers on his breast. Not a pretty roo. I did have two free range meat bird roosters, around 8 months, but I heard that they can not breed.

Who told you meat birds can't breed? They definitely can!!!! They may have a harder time because of the extra weight, but their bits and peices work just like any other roo. LOL

It IS possible (though rare) that meat bird roosters can breed a hen. Sounds like your boy is out of one of your meat bird roos and an EE hen.

Bravo! EEs can produce white muff chicks but they look like the other EEs as far as size (on the slender side). If it is muffed but looks like a meat chicken I would bet
