Just needed to to share the news. I just received 25 barred rock chicks on last Friday. All is well and they are already running to me when I call them! I ordered them from welps and as in the past have had excellent quality from them. I'm looking forward to raising this breed it will be the first time. I have in my other coop 9 buff orpingtons and 15 gold stars. They are 6 months old and are producing 21 to 24 eggs per day. Most say that they are spoiled but I say why not?
