barred rock feather question..

I bought 6 Barred Rock chicks from TSC that are now about 3 weeks old. I am just wondering about the feathering on one of them. 5 of them are developing the clearly defined striping as expected but one looks more speckled, not striped. Is this normal? I would add a picture but I am somewhat new and don't know how and I read somewhere on some other post that you can't post pics until you have made a certain minimum number of posts. Let me know what you think about my speckled not really barred yet rock.

Frankly, there are many BR whose feathering is not up to breed type. Many are quite muddied.
Of course, there is a difference between males and females in barring appearance, but even apart from that, many of these massively bred breeds are simply not up to type. FWIW

maybe they had some domniques in the bin with the rocks, but sometimes you will get one that the barring is not quite right after all they are hatchery chicks. I was sold one once as a barred rock and he ended up a black sex link rooster. I would call and ask them if they have had any dominiques or male sex links but I doubt that one they usually only get the pullets in on BSL. Also does the comb look different on that one? doms get pea combs the rocks will have straight combs. At 3 weeks you can tell the difference.

the comb appears to be the same as the others at this point just a bit smaller.

I have 3 BR chicks and one of them is feathering out much slower than the other two. Could this be an indication of a roo?
