Barred Rock mix silkie gender?

I heard that barred rock mix silkie are sex linked. I was word wrong if anyone could tell me the gender of my two week old chick. Thanks!

Depends on if the barred rock was the mother or father, if the barred rock was the mother (and the silkie the father) then all the male babies should be barred and the females should be solid black. If the barred rock was the father (and the silkie the mother) then all the babies (both male and female) should be barred. Unless the silkie parent was barred too..
