Hi! I’m new here, but been a poultry mom for over 35 years. We recently hatched eggs ourselves when schools closed due to Coronavirus, I took school incubators home and 12 healthy cuties hatched, we adopted 4 ‘unknowns’. They’re all mixed so we’re worried our barred rock might be a roo?! Any advice is helpful, as my youngest daughter loves this cutie, it has dark colors and no wattles at 7 1/2 wks, but a pinkish comb starting. It’s flock mates included (all mixed): black sex link, Golden comet, black copper maran, and EE. It’s very frustrating unknown breeds/gender....but they’re all beautiful and sweet natured! I’m glad we saved them but I already have an adult white crested red Polish rooster so we can’t keep another roo. Thanks!!
