Pullets or cockerels?
Bought these beauties from the local tractor supply. One tub said "pullets" those are the browns/reds that you see (if you know the breed of those, would love to know, been told they are just a breeder mix or isa browns? ) the other bucket had two lonely chicks and the teenage boy could not for sure tell me the breed just knew they were straight run and then the manager offered them to me for free since i was already buying some. Now, I'm new to chicken breeds, i have only ever owned a EE and a Silkie. This is my first year going for more birds. From my research they look like Barred Rocks. They are about 11 weeks old. One is bigger and started developing a comb sooner and i was certain it was a "he" but now the other is catching up to that one. They are the exact same color, so both roos or both hens if they are barreds?
The one i thought was a "he" at first
Smaller one being photo shy
Can see their coloring well here ( the dirt stuck on my daughters shoe must have Been amazing)
Not sure if it is to early to tell. I'm not aloud roosters here, but my best friend has a farm and is more than happy to take them if they are.
