Barred Rock Rooster X Welsummer Hen

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has tried this cross.

What did the chicks look like, were they auto-sexing and what did
they look like as they grew out?

Did the pullets from this cross lay the dark speckled Welsummer type eggs or more of the large light brown of the BRs?

Pictures of this cross at all ages of development would be appreciated as well.

As far as I know, the egg color will not be darker but a bit darker than the BR eggs. It depends on the mother's and father's genes.
