Barred Rock Roosters

I currently have a flock of Light Brahma chickens (3 hens 2 roosters that get along well). I was looking to raise some Barred Rock chicks to add to my flock. I read somewhere that Barred Rock hens are docile and get along well with others but the roosters don't and are very aggressive. Is this true?

I have had bad experiences with barred rocks. My hen was very aggressive and feather pecked several of her flock mates. It was so bad, she started cannibalizing them. I gave her away to a new home where she free ranges 24/7. I am unable to free range, due to predators, so maybe BR don’t do well in confinement.

In internet articles about chickens, docile usually = fearless and unlikely to run away from you. They often get restless in confined spaces, and can be bullies.
