Well, after looking at all of the Barred Rock crosses, I've come up with some skewed results. Out of 5 chicks, all five are female and all five have beautifully white earlobes.
They are not sexually mature yet, but still look really amazing considering they are crosses. White skin, white legs and the barring is amazing.
So I suppose my questions are:
1. When a red-lobed bird is bred to a white-lobed bird, will the white-lobing be dominant and clear?
2. Are the chances astronomical that the 5 birds from this cross are female? From the male in the breeding I have only gotten 3 cockerels out of 14 chicks. I'm not complaining, but still an interesting thing to see.
