Bathing a chicken

OK........As some of you may know, I am nursing an injurered rir pullet. Well, just came in the house and she has dirtied and needs a bath. So far it was going well, but I stepped out for awhile and she is laying in "IT" when I returned!!!

Can someone give me a crash course on bathing a chicken? Also, as fate would have it I have an allergy to chickens........so I probably need to do this anyway.
