Hi! I would really like to raise awareness about battery farms. I want to promote the idea of more people adopting ex battery hens. I found this image online and I wanted to post it to raise awareness of this sad part of the poultry industry.

Hi! I would really like to raise awareness about battery farms. Personally, I definatley think that all animals, including battery hens, should be treated with fairness and be treated as individuals. and this is why...when i lock up at night...i speak to each one of my 28+ girls and wish them a very peaceful night and sweet dreams i love you .....this breaks my heart

Most on here are quite aware of battery hens (hence so many people deciding to grow their own eggs) but there really isn't much you can do about it
I think it’s great that most people on here know about this, and I promote the idea of adopting ex battery hens for them to live free range

Have just collected 4 ex battery hens. In a terrible state when they arrived, but it is surprising how quickly the feathers start to grow. Hoping they have a happy retirement !

A friend recently bragged that she bought her eggs for 99 cents a dozen at a local convenience store. I congratulated her and asked if she realized that the hens that produced those cheap eggs lived horrific lives of complete misery. Although she made a face and said, "Ewww," my guess is that she will still buy cheap eggs.

You can try to educate one person at a time; it won't always be successful. But, at least, try.
