No muffs or beards so not Americaunas. I will try to post pics in the What Breed Is This thread. Some of my eggs have freckles. Most do not. Some lean toward an almost olive green, but all have a bluegreen tinge. Our shells are white inside.Are they Easter Eggers? How did you get them? (Curious to see pictures of those girls; any muffs or beards?) My two Eggers lay light green eggs, one of them often with darker freckles. Shells are blue inside.

Wow! So many welcomes! Thank you, everyone. I don't know how much time I will be able to spend here, but I look forward to it!Hi! A lot of years ago we had a bunch of Rhode Island Reds but that was a long time ago. For about a year and a half I've had four chickens that lay greenish bluish eggs. About a year younger than them I have two buff orpingtons.
Although my husband many years ago had a bunch of Rhode Island Reds, this is really my first serious go-round with chickens. I'm here to learn.
