I treated one of my hens with baytril for bumble foot last week and One of her eggs that she laid on the second day of treatment may have been put under a broody hen. will this affect the chick if it hatches?

It's possible but I had treated my girls with wormer and used those hens eggs under a broody and had 100% hatch with no problem at all! I wouldn't worry about it too much :) good luck with your hatch!

Did you have luck with the Baytril? I have a hen with a very minor Bumblefoot right now and I’m thinking about trying it. Our poultry vet said she has not had luck with it, but will write me a prescription if I want to try it.

It helped the first time but then it came back a few weeks later.
I soaked her foot in warm water with Epsom salts and Chlorhexidine (Hibiclens).for 20 minutes, pulled the scab off and lightly bandaged her foot five times a week and it eventually went away.

Young animals are not supposed to be treated with bay trail because it can cause cartilage problems. You may see the same but I’m not sure metabolites would make it in to the egg.
