BB Gun vs. Pellet Gun

To solve the problem, the .22 woutld be my first choice, pellet rifle a distant second. BBs are useless for anything larger than small birds and rodents. I appreciate your desire to not harm the predators, but they won't be permanently deterred by BBs.

Big cats don't just eave after being shot by air soft. .22 cal is not a guaranteed kill and could cause a slow death. I would aim to kill with a bigger gun if you kill a few or just 1 they will learn and leave your coop alone.
