so I found my BB red hen sitting on a bunch of eggs in my barn. She won’t move and I’m afraid that something will eat her because I have cats , raccoons , coyotes coming up at night all the time. Is there any way I can move her and the eggs to a safe place and her still sit on the eggs? What’s yalls opinions?!?

I move my chickens at night and they stay on the nest that way.

Did you just move her to a laying box or did you have to cage her? I have incubated a lot of eggs but never had a hen sit on her eggs.

I just put her in a box and move her I have never had one stop sitting when I move them at night.

Well I moved her and she stopped sitting on the eggs so I took them inside and put them in the incubator. Hopefully they will hatch.

Thanks for your advice. I had to try it. I let them free range during the day so I’m finding places where they are laying eggs.
Wonder why she didn’t lay all those eggs in my laying boxes?
