I have 5 BBB and 1 BBW 2 week (or so) turkeys I am wondering when they can be moved outside.I plan on putting them in a large kennel that is covered with a tarp (on sides, back, top, half front) and also insulation board thats 2 in thick(on outside side of tarp so they cant eat it) on my porch. My temps get down into the 50s at night. I have them out there now and they seem happy i just don't know if they can stay out there at nite.I don't wanna kill them, i just want my house to smell better

If not now when can they go out?We plan on processing them around 18 weeks or so. Thanks

Unless you can figure out a way to provide the warmth at night I'd probably have to suggest changing out litter daily (for the time being). These guys can go `gimpy' (lose control of legs), die of exposure if temp. is too low (`50's is not going to cut it), or fluctuates too widely.

read the `facilities' chapter (sounds like you've got a workable `sun porch'), here: http://www.livestockconservancy.org/index.php/resources/internal /turkey-manual
