Hi- I understand the blue x blue, splash x blue, black x blue ratios. My question is, do they have to be from a color pure line. In other words, is a black bird from an only black line going to produce the same color percentages as a black bird from a black/blue cross? Maybe I am over analizing Thanks!!

yeah, if you crossed a black rooster from black heritage you will get the same ratio as if you crossed a black rooster from blue heritage...

What could change is the quality of the black in black chicks that come from a blue or splash breeding.
