BBW poults for next spring

I’m thinking about getting BBW turkeys in the spring. I read so much about how hard these are to keep alive in the first five week of age. How many should I get to have minimum of 25+ come processing time? Any special feeding instruction would be greatly appreciated.

There is no way to say how many to order. it's very rare for us to loose a poult but we also have it down to a system on raising. Shipping is stressful for them you might loose a couple there.


They aren't really hard to raise. There are few key things that make all the difference. Never overcrowd them, keep the litter dry and fresh at all times, keep the poults dry at all times. For feed we start ours on a medicated 28% protien gamebird starter for the first 2 months or so then a 20% medicated start n grow. if you have any other questions please feel free to ask away.
