Beakers, the traveling BYC mascot, is in Guam, and boy is he ever glad to be out of the cold weather you guys have to offer. He was banging on the box and desprate to get out and breathe, it's 88' here! Beakers knew he traveled far and took a looooong nap but he had no idea it would be that far! He was exicted to feel the warm breeze and see all the green and colorful flowers, so much so that he jumped out of his night-cap and right into his Captin's hat and flip-flops, he is on a Navy base after all!

More to come on Beakers visit to Guam...

Beakers wanted to go to the store with us so here he is, he thought the window was a great place to sit and watch the palm trees go by with the host' fav goat next to him.

The sun is so bright here Beakers opted for a good hat to block the rays.

So after a long shopping trip and some dinner we bought Beakers a new more appropriate shrit... He likes it!

Indeed, he has enjoyed no snow/cold for the whole 24hrs he's been here!

Beakers was MIA b/c the host was incredibly ill but poor sweet Beakers helped so much and fed me hot soup and brought my medicines, he helped me so much that I promised to take him to Gab-Gab beach as soon as I was well enough...

Beakers was thrilled and watched the palm trees speed by as we drove to the beach, we could have walked but it was sooooo hot. 90 with 100% humidity, they say it was 100% but I'm pretty certain it was closer to 199% humidity!!! If you look at Beakers hair you can see what the humidity does

Beakers nearly flew out of the car, he had never seen a beach like this, especially not in the dead of winter! He wanted his toes in the sand so badly, much better than that icky snow he left behind!

After so much fun in the sun and sand Beakers took a long, Winters, well Summer, I mean Spring, well I'm not sure what season it is here, nap.

After his nap we introduced him to a coconut tree, he wasn't too sure with all the invasive giagantic japanese beetles flying around him but all in all he thought it was a great experience, a learning one at that. Had no idea ducks climbed trees so well!

I'm sure Beakers has enjoyed his stay but it's almost time for him to travel again, so remember if you would like to be a BYC mascot host look here!!! Beakers will appreciate it and so will you! img/smilies/woot.gif" alt="woot" />">https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=180862
