Red-crowned Crane, and many pheasants for sale at the local fair.
The crane pair price was ~5000$

Serious?! Wow, very cool. I wonder what the requirements for keeping cranes are.. It seems a little inappropriate to just be selling something so not pet-like animal in such a nonchalant manner. I hope that it finds a good home, maybe a zoo or animal refuge.

It's not just pay the money and take it home, you need to get a Nature Conservation Institute Permit (which I suppose includes an inspection at your facilities), the seller must give a paper confirming that the bird is born in captivity (not wild caught) and some other stuff that I don't remember. This pair was there because it was previously ordered (not for anyone to who wants to buy).

I was gonna say, lol. Understandable, one day I REALLY want to be able to have Barnacle geese but there is just to much to be done that I can't afford to do to have them.
