So I have two Brown Leghorn hens from the same clutch, that I named Becky and Bailey. They were almost identical as chicks, the only difference being the mark around their eyes.

This is Becky- she has a sort of winged eye liner marking. (my friend called her "becky with the good eye liner" :lau)

And this is her sister, Bailey- her "eye liner" is a little wonky, easily distinguishable from Becky's.

Right away, Becky and Bailey had really distinct personalities. Bailey was extremely skittish, while Becky was very cuddly. After the first week of having them, I was able to pick Becky up without her running away and even have her fall asleep in my hand on her back!

snoooozing awayyyy..
Eventually she started to get bigger and and more curious, but she still wanted me to hold her and be close to me. So naturally, she started climbing my arms and perching on my shoulders and chest.

When my chicks got too big (I have 5 of them, including Becky) I finally moved them outside into their own coop. I would go out there and she would make SO MUCH NOISE until I cradled her on her back. Then she would go quiet and just chill, looking around or watching my other chicks play.

And just like that, she got SUPER big, really even too big to fit in my hand. She would try, but end up falling off because she wasn't great at balancing yet!

Now, she's been laying for a few weeks, and still wants me to cradle her. She squawks and clucks until I pick her up and lets me walk around the yard with her under my arm or cradled against my chest.

Does anyone else have a clingy hen like mine?

Also if anyone is interested in seeing more silliness with my chickens, I post almost daily about them on my snapchat under the username matrixpotato! Also on my instagram, under the same username.
