WHERE DO YOU GET DE? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND IS IT THE KIND YOU PUT IN POOL FILTERS? 

I got a 50 lb bag at my local feed store for $15, it's labeled "food grade". I'm not 100% sure it's the same stuff as in pool filters, due to the food grade label. Call around your local feed stores to get the best price.
