Bedding question

Is it alright to use eucaliptus shavings for chicks I use it for my python and wondered if it would be fine for the chicks I'm getting.

I would be cautious with that. Maybe too much aeromatic oil there. Could lead to respiratory issues.

yea. that makes me think about my bedding. It is pine and is said to have a "no pet smell outdoor pine" to it should I be catious as well

With all the evergreen materials... Stong cedar/pine oil smells indicate volatile oils which I understand can lead to respiratory problems.

But then I would not be surprised if there are plenty of people who do use them and would swear by these same products.
