Bedding

My goslings eat/chew everything! I was wondering about bedding. The towels that I have been using were working out great, until one of them found a string! Was not good! What is good to use for bedding? I used medium fine pine shavings for my chickens, but I'm worried the geese will eat it. Thanks

Paper towels is what I used for my chicks until they learned what was food. (About 1wk old) My girls will still pick up, move, and scratch in every inch of bedding they can find, but I know that they are not eating it. Now I use Koop Clean bedding. I would expose them to a little of the normal bedding you plan on using, and if they start eating it, (not just picking it up because it's interesting), then you know that it's back to paper towels.
