Can I use freshly chipped tree mulch for the floor of the chicken coop? Also Can I use grass clippings?

The chippings need to be dry before it's used. Otherwise it won't be able to absorb anything. Fresh chipped trees have a lot of moistier(sp) in them.

Your chickens will love scratching through chippings. Don't know about the moisture thing. We dry out pretty fast here. You can also use grass clipping which the hens eat. Be sure it doesn't have chemicals in it that would be harmful to he hens. Best of luck!
