Beekissed

Her wit, wisdom, and down home common sense is so badly missed here! While I know basically what happened, it’s not my place go any further than just to say she and BYC had a “parting of the ways.” She stuck to her strong principals and no one can fault her for that.

Hi Blooie! Long time no see ! I sure hope you're doing well these days !

I ended up finding her on another forum altogether. It's so sad that she left BYC, I'm sure whatever the circumstances, it was a difficult decision for her to make. She has so many people on here that think the world of her and love her knowledge.
How have you been, my friend ?

I’ve been very well, thanks! It’s great to see you too. I’m glad you found her....I was over there for a long time but kinda sneaked out. Nothing anyone over there did....they are all just as amazingly wonderful as ever. It was me entirely. Just sorta feeling like I didn’t quite fit.

Kids are growing like crazy. Katie just finished her first year in Middle school and Kendra just “graduated” kindergarten. Not sure if she’ll advance to 1st grade but if she doesn’t and repeats K, that’s fine with us. As long as she’s happy, and she is!

I miss Bee’s dry sense of humor and her advice. I think of how relaxed my attitude toward raising chickens is and I know it all to her and the folks on the Porch. I try to convey that stress-free way to raise them whenever I can, never forgetting and always acknowledging where I learned it. Mama Heating Thread is a fine example of that. Not sure if you remember when I was all freaked out because my “babies” didn’t love me! :lau I was fussing over them constantly, trying to keep the water clean, manhandling them from dirty brooder to box back to clean brooder, adjusting heat.....now thanks to some down home common sense I get ‘em, start em on nipple waterers outside under a heating pad, and let ‘em learn to be chickens!

Hope you’re doing as we’ll as we are. If you talk to her, tell her I remember her with love and respect in my heart! And take good of you, too!

Aw I feel left out, I don't know if I ever ran across Beekissed.

You did indeed miss out, Diva. Strong, independent, feisty as all get-out, funny, and so firmly rooted in her faith. She inspired and encouraged so many people on here! She had no problem giving someone a good talking to if they needed it, and there was more than once I sure did! :lau Some called that abrasive - I called it Beeing Made Wiser. Need a prayer? She was first. Need some comfort? She had such a way with coming up with just what you needed to hear. Need advice. If she didn't know an answer, she'd find it. Yep, you sure missed knowing an amazing lady! But then I also have real soft spot for you, too, my friend!
