Hiya, and welcome back!

Just in case you or hubby hasn't heard about it, for fixing up your pen and coop, chicken wire isn't good to use as too many things get through that. 1/2" hardware cloth is the standard most of us use, and albeit a bear or one cyborg raccoon I heard supposedly did, nothing gets through that.

Yep, that's what I have to use for my wildlife rehab pens. So far bears haven't bothered any of the pens, they occasionally find the bird feeders but haven't destroyed anything.
