Hello Everyone! I'm new to this site and I've been reading through tons of different threads for a few hours now, there's alot to take in. My hubby finally gave me the go-ahead to get a few duckies and I'm super excited. It's really important to me to be totally prepared and honestly I'm a little overwhelmed. I've read through many of the posts and I haven't seen this question, but I may have missed it so I apologize if it's already been asked...So here's my question...what exactly do I need to have ready for my duckies before I bring them home? If someone could tell me what I need and in what order/when I need it that would be so great! And if I could also get a recommendation for a good "duck book" that would be wonderful. Thank you in advance! -

. As for what you need:

A proper brooder.

A secure place for the brooder free of drafts.

A proper feed for the ducklings.

If feeding chick starter I'd suggest adding niacin.

A heat lamp

An idea for a back up brooder in case someone needs to be separated

I always keep electrolytes on hand as well

Thank you very much! That's exactly what I needed..a place to start! I never realized how much "stuff" is involved with raising little duckies! I appreciate your quick response! Thanks again!
