beginners coop

Hi all....2 nd post really new. I want to start out with 2 maybe 3 chick's for eggs.I have a shed 10 x 12 and thinking of a putting a small coop box in the shed (away from all elements). Cut out a door from the shed wall with a walk plank then a small wired pen.

That would be fine if you mean they would have a place to get outdoors. They need to be outdoors during the day.

Yup.....the box coop in the shed to sleep and lay and a small fenced in area out side.

The minimum amount of chickens you should have is three. They definitely prefer to be outside more than inside, so you can get away with a small house so long as you have a very large outside area. They kill ground pretty fast, and with relish.

Yea was thinking 2...maybe 3..definitely no more,and the run appox.7'D x7'W
