Hello everyone! I always considered myself a city girl, but knew my heaven was a little farm close to the city. We found that here in NE Ohio & one of the first things we did was head out to TSC & pick up an assortment of baby chicks! Growing up, we had a neighbor who had polish chickens & I was in love with them ever since (she wasn't legally allowed to have them, but we didn't mind). Over three different trips we picked up a total of 20 chicks, but are down to 12 now after losing one to illness (they said this was common was newly hatched guys) and the rest to the dogs fascination. So sad, but now after a lot of training one dog stays away & the other herds them back into "their" garden when he thinks they've strayed too far. I would never trust them alone, but glad we can all enjoy the outside together

We're all set for this summer, but I can't wait to get a few new breeds/varieties next year! I've read some bad things about TSC on here, but our location was very knowledgeable (with the exception of one guy who clearly didn't know much) & all the links/breeds we picked out have been exactly as posted. Here's what we have (please pardon any spelling errors, still learning)...

2 silver-laced wyandottes
2 RIR
3 red link pullets
1 amber link pullet
2 tetra tint pullets
1 AGB
1 gold sebright bantam

Besides the chickens, we've also got...
1 GSD
1 dachshund
1 chug
1 cat
1 lionhead rabbit
2 pygmy goats
1 pb pig

Very full farm & we love every minute of it! Just wait, it's about to get larger too, lol!
