Here is the beginnings of my coop. It's shed that is about 6x9. I put down some vinyl flooring today. It looks a million times better than it did before.
My questions... How large does my pop door need to be? I have a few barred rock, Rhode island reds, gold laced Wyandottes, and black Jerseys. The black Jerseys are the ones I'm worried about because they're supposed to be rather large.
Next, what sort of ventilation would you recommend? It does get rather hot here in the summer (Virginia) and moisture is a huge issue because it does get rather humid as well.
Last question, I was planning on putting up roosting poles over that workbench and making a frame for the top to hold some sweet pdz to make poop scooping easier, nest boxes will go under this. I was also going to build a ramp up to the top of the workbench. Will this work?
