Hi Everyone

Just a bit of a question, hopefully i can make this clear.....

We have one chick that absolutely loves his/her cuddles, to the point that when i leave the room, he hops up onto the heater and chirps REALLY loud. This goes on until i either come back and cuddle him, or he just gets tired and falls asleep. Is this normal behaviour? he is eating and drinking, and sleeping under the heat.

Thanks for any thoughts/answers

How old is he/she?
I take it there is no mum?
Some chicks will imprint humans very easily. There is a danger(?) that if you continue to respond to demand for attention you will be mum for the next few months. It depends on whether you want this chick to identify with you, or his/her siblings. I would try to leave the chick alone. His/her siblings are likely to be a lot more reliable than you will be.

No mum. They are literally 2 days old now. All 5 have started to come running out when we come into the room now lol, very cute. He/she (we call it captain chaos for now) sounds the alarm when we leave, but settles after 10 minutes or so.

thanks for the replies xx
