I have a chick that about 3 wks old. The other day I noticed her mouth was watery. I found a piece of dry poop lodged in the corner of her mouth. I removed it and assumed she'd be ok. Well, she is still having the watery mouth. I noticed that she is having trouble swallowing because of this.

Also, on her one foot, she has a couple of toes that are bent to the side. Instead of going straight, it bents so that it looks like an L.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.

What are you feeding? Is it a balanced ration? Use special feeds prepared for chciks and make sure water is clean and dont let it run out..Sometimes bent toes are temp spike in incubator , it can be vitamin A deficiency. check the feed make sure it is designed for chicks only to 8 weeks, otherwise it could be genetic or if exposed mereks .keep pleanty of food and GRITS to help digest food like parakete grit or chick grit otherwise they cannot digest food properly
