Best bedding to use for the run? Rocks???

Saw a guy use rocks as the bedding, When I asked him what he used, he said he just sprays it off....and the bedding looks great!

does this work?

I would think it would be rough on their feet and cause wounds, unless it was some sort of river rock with rounded edges. Lots of people like sand.

I would think sand is kind of like rocks, In the heat of summer, the sand and rock would become extremely hot, unless it is a sheltered run,

If it's all about looks, than he is missing the point. Rocks will not allow the chickens to scratch. Chickens that don't scratch are messed up chickens. Put gravel or rocks right outside the pop door to keep the mud down but I'd leave the rest dirt.
