Hey everyone!

At home I have five ISAs, six Silver Laced Wyandottes, and one Australian Game (who will be given to a new owner very soon). I started off with three ISAs which I kept for two years, and then hatched the rest earlier this year. I find these breeds to be pretty great, but I was wondering what everyone else's favourites are? I'd love to know what people thought the 'best' backyard breed was, in terms of egg production, personality and maintenance! (I'm mainly interested in layers.)

Feel free to share your favourites and what you love about them!

I've got Production Reds, cross between RI and NH. They are some egg laying machines. Pretty docile most of the time. A couple of them follow me like puppies.

Forgive me, but what breed does NH stand for?
My older two ISAs follow me around too! They don't have a rooster to be boss, though.
