Are you looking for a certain quality on the BCM or strictly SOP?Looking for the top breeders for Black copper Marans
Anything I know is from the help and knowledge of everyone in the Marans thread I linked above and also BYC.. I would be no where without the great members here...Are you looking for a certain quality on the BCM or strictly SOP?
Wrath has a ton of knowledge on them as well.
I've also heard great things from Greenfire Farms for quality of many of their birds.
I have purchased from Greenfire Farms. They are over priced. Their lines are a mix of French and English (fatherless legs). The birds are on the smaller side of the spectrum. I will say though. If you are looking to create your own line from them. It might be a good place to start. It will be a hard fought battle. Are you looking for a certain quality on the BCM or strictly SOP?

Apple Hill Marans. Steve Copeland has the original LP (Little Peddler) line that came here in the 1990s. It was the first BCM to come state side. He has kept the line unadulterated.Looking for the top breeders for Black copper Marans

Steve is a wealth of knowledge. I have his line. I also purchased the hype from Greenfire Farms. Steve's birds are the Ferrari to Greenfires Dodge Neon.
