Best breeds of ducks

What’s ur opinion on breeds of ducks u have? I’m thinking about getting Pekin ducks 3 hens a one drake hopefully

It all depends upon what you want - eggs, meat, dual purpose, pets ====== all factor into the decision.

I would get anything but pekins, they seem to be prone to leg problems. Similar birds size wise would be saxony, silver appleyard or rouen.

What are your duck goals?

I need a cold hardy duck I live up north, an duck that lays around average and good with people.
What are broody duck breeds? I’m not looking for broody duck breeds, just so then I know for future thoughts

That discribes almost every duck! If you get below -20F i would stick with a mid weight duck or larger, and rule out moscovy. If Your looking to breed then get a duck that looks nice. If you are not looking to breed i would get a variety of different ducks to see what you like.
